Watch College Football Live
To watch college football live, look up your team's conference first: each one sells its games to different networks, and that decides which channel or app you need on Saturday. The table below shows where each conference plays this season.
Last checked: October 2026.

What to pay for, by the kind of fan you are

Your team is in the SEC or ACC. One subscription does most of it: the ESPN app. The biggest game each week is on ABC, which an antenna picks up at no monthly cost.
Your team is in the Big Ten. Start with an antenna. FOX, CBS and NBC are all broadcast networks, and they carry the conference's three main games every Saturday. Add FOX One only if your team lands on Big Ten Network or FS1 often.
You watch the whole Saturday. A live TV bundle with ESPN, FS1, the conference networks and TNT is simpler than five apps. Expect $60 to $90 a month.
The services, one by one
A TV antenna
ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and The CW all broadcast over the air. Between them they show the top game in nearly every time slot, including the SEC and Big Ten games of the week. Cost: $20 to $40 once.
How to use it
- Enter your address on the FCC reception map to see which stations reach you.
- Buy an indoor antenna if the towers are under 25 miles away, an outdoor one if farther.
- Connect it to the antenna input on the TV.
- Run the channel scan in the TV settings.
- Note the channel numbers for ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and The CW.
An antenna doesn't get cable channels. ESPN, FS1, SEC Network and Big Ten Network need a subscription. For help choosing one, see how to pick an antenna that works at your address.
The ESPN app
ESPN Unlimited is $31.99 a month and includes ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, SEC Network and ACC Network, plus the streaming-only games. A cheaper plan, ESPN Select at $13.99, has only the streaming-only games, which is where many smaller-conference teams play.
How to use it
- Check whether your TV provider already includes ESPN. If it does, sign in with that account at no extra cost.
- If not, choose Unlimited or Select inside the app.
- Open the Watch tab on Saturday.
- Filter by college football and pick your game.
- Note the renewal date.
Select does not include the ESPN TV channels. If your game is listed on ESPN, ESPN2 or SEC Network, you need Unlimited.
FOX One
FOX One is $19.99 a month, or $199.99 a year, for FOX, FS1, FS2 and Big Ten Network. It covers most Big Ten games that aren't on CBS or NBC and the FOX share of the Big 12.
How to use it
- Check whether your game is on FOX itself. If so, an antenna already has it.
- Sign up on the FOX One site or app.
- Confirm Big Ten Network appears in the guide.
- Open the game from the live row.
- Check the ESPN and FOX One bundle price at checkout if you need both.
ESPN and FOX have sold the two apps together at $39.99 a month. Bundle prices move, so confirm on the signup screen.
Peacock
Peacock is $12.99 a month. It streams NBC's Saturday night Big Ten game and Notre Dame home games, and it keeps a few games each season for itself that don't air on TV at all.
How to use it
- Check your team's schedule for any game marked Peacock.
- Subscribe that week on the Peacock site.
- Open the Sports tab.
- Select the live game.
- Cancel afterward if it was your team's only Peacock game.
Paramount+
Paramount+ streams the college games that air on CBS: the Big Ten afternoon game, plus Pac-12, Mountain West and service academy games. Paramount's own guide says college games on CBS need the Premium plan, $13.99 a month. The $8.99 plan is not enough for these.
How to use it
- Check whether an antenna gets your local CBS station. If yes, you don't need this app for football.
- If not, choose the Premium plan at signup.
- Open the Sports row on Saturday.
- Pick the live CBS game.
- Note the renewal date.
TNT and HBO Max
TNT carries a set of Big 12 games and some early-round College Football Playoff games. Without cable, TNT's games stream on HBO Max.
How to use it
- Look for TNT or truTV next to your game on the schedule.
- Check whether your TV plan includes TNT.
- If not, check which HBO Max plan includes live sports.
- Open the Sports section on game day.
- Cancel after the game if you don't use the app otherwise.
The honest part: what decides where you can watch college football live
Broadcast rights decide it, and they are sold conference by conference. The home team's conference owns the game. That is why the same team can be on ABC one week and on a streaming app the next: it played at home, then on the road in another conference.
What that means in practice:
- No monthly bill — games on ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and The CW, with an antenna. This includes the top game most weeks and four conference championship games on ABC.
- Subscription required — anything on ESPN, FS1, a conference network, TNT, or an app-only game on Peacock or ESPN.
- Not in the US lineup at all — Prime Video and Netflix carry NFL games, not college football.
The College Football Playoff belongs to ESPN, with some early games shared with TNT. The later rounds and the national championship air on ESPN, so the end of the season is the part an antenna covers least.
Sites that claim to show every college game with no account are not rights holders. Expect pop-ups and fake play buttons, not football.
Before Saturday
- Check the channel for your game on Monday or Tuesday. Many kickoff times are set only a week ahead.
- Look at who the home team is. Its conference decides the network.
- Scan the antenna channels on a weekday.
- Check whether your TV, internet or phone plan already includes ESPN or Peacock.
- Subscribe by the month. The regular season runs from late August to early December.
- If your team has one game on a service you don't have, subscribe for that month only.
- Write down the renewal date when you sign up.
- Confirm the app works on your TV model before game day.
What it really costs
Antenna only. $20 to $40 once. Two to five games every Saturday, including the biggest ones.
One conference. SEC or ACC fan: the ESPN app at $31.99 a month, about $130 for the regular season. Big Ten fan: antenna plus FOX One at $19.99 a month, about $80 for the season, and one month of Peacock if your team has a game there.
Everything. ESPN and FOX One together, Peacock and an antenna come to roughly $55 a month. A live TV bundle with the same channels is $60 to $90 a month and adds TNT and CBS Sports Network.
Prices were checked in October 2026 and change often. Several of these services raised prices just before this season.
FAQ
What channel is college football on today?
It depends on the game. The ESPN schedule page lists every game of the week with its network.
Can I watch college football with just an antenna?
Yes, the games on ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC and The CW. Not the ones on ESPN, FS1 or conference networks.
Is college football on Prime Video or Netflix?
No. Those two carry NFL games. College football stays with ESPN, FOX, CBS, NBC, TNT and The CW.
Which app has SEC games?
The ESPN app, with ESPN Unlimited or a TV provider login. The top SEC game each week is also on ABC.
Which app has Big Ten games?
Three of them: FOX One for FOX, FS1 and Big Ten Network, Paramount+ for CBS, Peacock for NBC. An antenna replaces most of that.
Where is the College Football Playoff?
On ESPN and ABC, with some first-round games on TNT. The national championship is on ESPN.
