Watch NBA Tonight
To watch an NBA game tonight, start with the day of the week: the league's national games are split among ESPN and ABC, NBC and Peacock, and Prime Video, and each takes different nights.

Below is each night in order, with what you need to stream it and whether an antenna picks it up.
These nights come from 11-year agreements, so the pattern holds from one season to the next. Some nights begin in the middle of the season, and that is noted where it applies.
Last checked: October 2026.

Monday and Tuesday: Peacock and NBC
Peacock on Monday. Monday games are Peacock exclusives, up to two a night from late October through the end of the regular season. They also air on NBCSN, but that channel is not carried by every TV provider, so Peacock is the reliable route.
NBC and Peacock on Tuesday. Tuesday is a doubleheader. On most Tuesdays NBC shows an 8 PM Eastern game to stations in the Eastern and Central zones and an 8 PM Pacific game to the Pacific and Mountain zones. Both stream nationally on Peacock.

How to watch:
- Subscribe to Peacock Premium, not Select, which has no live sports.
- Open Peacock before tip-off.
- Go to the Sports tab.
- Choose the live game.
- For Tuesday, check an antenna first: the NBC game is on your local station.
Honest note: Peacock Premium is $12.99 a month. An antenna covers Tuesday's NBC game but never the Monday ones.
Wednesday: ESPN
Wednesday has been an ESPN night for years, and it stays that way, with doubleheaders through the regular season. ESPN also carries a Thanksgiving Eve slate. It is the one weekday with no broadcast version.
How to watch:
- Check whether your TV or mobile plan already includes ESPN Unlimited.
- If not, subscribe inside the ESPN app.
- Open the app on game night.
- Go to the Watch tab.
- Pick the game from the live row.
Honest note: the cheaper ESPN plan does not carry the ESPN channels. Wednesday needs Unlimited, about $30 to $32 a month.
Thursday and Friday: Prime Video
Friday is Prime Video's night, with doubleheaders on most Fridays. Thursday doubleheaders are added from January. Starting in January, ESPN also takes select Friday doubleheaders.
How to watch:
- Sign in to Prime Video with an Amazon account.
- Open the Sports section.
- Find the NBA game for the night.
- Watch the pre-game show if you want the full broadcast.
- If you used a trial, note when it ends.
Honest note: Prime Video games have no antenna route. It costs about $9 a month alone, and comes with Amazon Prime.
Saturday and Sunday: ABC and NBC
Saturday night belongs to ABC from mid-December, with select Prime Video afternoon games added from February. On Sunday, ABC shows a few afternoon games in February and March, and NBC and Peacock add a Sunday night game from late January.
ABC and NBC are broadcast networks, so these are the weekend nights an antenna handles.
How to watch:
- Check which stations reach your address before buying an antenna.
- Connect it to the TV's antenna input.
- Run the channel scan.
- Note the channel numbers for ABC and NBC.
- Tune in before tip-off.
Honest note: an antenna costs $20 to $40 once. The Prime Video and ESPN-only games on these days still need their apps.
Holidays and the postseason
Christmas Day is a five-game slate on ABC and ESPN. NBC and Peacock run Holiday Hoops in late December, plus quadrupleheaders on Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Presidents' Day.
The postseason is split too. Prime Video has the whole Play-In Tournament. The first two rounds are shared by ESPN and ABC and by NBC and Peacock. The Finals are on ABC. Conference finals are divided between partners and the assignment changes by year; for 2027 the Western Conference Finals are on ESPN and ABC and the Eastern Conference Finals are on Prime Video.
The honest part: why tonight's game might not be here
Not every game is a national game. Each team also has games sold to a local broadcaster, and those never appear on the national apps. Whether a game is national or local depends on the game, and whether it is local to you depends on where you live.
That is why this page cannot name one channel for your team. The NBA's own Tap to Watch page links each game to where it streams for the viewer's location, and the league's national TV schedule marks which games are on the three partners.
What costs nothing extra: ABC and NBC games over an antenna, including the Finals.
Before you subscribe
- Find the night of the game first. The night decides the network.
- Peacock Select has no live sports, and the cheaper ESPN plan has no ESPN channels.
- Thursday, Saturday and Sunday games start mid-season, so wait for the first one you care about.
- All times are Eastern unless marked otherwise.
- A Tuesday doubleheader can show different games in different regions.
- Test an antenna on a weekday, not minutes before tip-off.
- Monthly plans can be paused and restarted. Use that for the months you watch.
- If a game is not on any of these, it may be a local broadcast.
What it costs per month
